This Halloween recipe turns chocolate-covered biscuit sticks into edible spider webs. Arrange trimmed biscuit sticks in a star pattern, then pipe melted white candy into web-like circles and lines. Add bug sprinkles for a creepy-crawly finish, and let set before serving.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. With a serrated knife, cut each chocolate-covered biscuit stick about one-third of the way up from the plain end (the end without chocolate). Cover a large workspace or multiple baking sheets with parchment paper. Place eight trimmed biscuit sticks on the paper so that their cut ends meet in the center, forming a sunburst pattern.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the white candy melting wafers on full power in bursts of 30 seconds, stirring between each, until fully melted. Pour the melted candy into a piping bag fitted with a small round tip (like Wilton #2). Squeeze a small amount of candy at the center where the biscuit sticks join to hold them together. Pipe concentric circles of candy moving outward from the center toward the tips, forming a spider web design. Then pipe a straight line of candy between each pair of biscuit sticks, crossing over the circular lines. Right away, scatter bug sprinkles over the wet webbing. Allow the cookies to set at room temperature for roughly 30 minutes until firm. The candy web is fragile, so carefully lift them off the parchment paper.
