These pumpkin chocolate chip cookies combine the warm flavors of pumpkin spice with rich chocolate chips for a perfect fall treat. The dough is briefly chilled to prevent spreading, then baked until golden. Ideal for Halloween parties or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, white sugar, pumpkin puree, vanilla extract, and eggs. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Add the baking soda, all-purpose flour, and pumpkin spice to the bowl. Stir until just combined. The dough will be sticky.
  3. Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, taking care not to overmix.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in the freezer for 20 to 30 minutes, until the dough firms up slightly.
  5. About 5 minutes before removing the dough from the freezer, preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Scoop the dough into even balls about 2 inches in diameter, placing them 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet. They don't need to be perfectly round.
  7. Bake for 13 to 15 minutes, until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Transfer the cookies to a wire cooling rack, allow to cool, then serve and enjoy.
