This easy Halloween bark recipe starts with melted chocolate spread thin, then topped with sprinkles, gummy candies, candy corn, and more. Let it set, then break into pieces for a festive treat that's as fun to make as it is to eat.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Get a baking sheet and cover it with parchment paper, wax paper, or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Melt your chocolate or candy melts. You can do this in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 20-second bursts at half power and stirring in between, until smooth. Or use a double boiler on the stove, following the package directions.
  3. Right away, pour the melted chocolate onto the prepared sheet. Use a spatula to spread it into an even layer about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
  4. Immediately add your toppings in any pattern you like. Gently press them into the chocolate or tap the pan to help them stick.
  5. Let the bark set until firm. This takes 1-2 hours at room temperature, or 20-30 minutes in the fridge.
  6. Once the bark is hard, cut it into pieces with a sharp knife, or break it apart with your hands for a more rustic look.
