- parchment paper
- medium bowl
- whisk
- large bowl
- electric mixer
- spatula
- tablespoon
- wire rack
Directions
- Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt until combined.
- In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract and beat well.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined. Then stir in green food coloring until you achieve the desired shade.
- Fold the semi-sweet chocolate chips into the dough evenly.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets. Gently press two pretzel sticks into each cookie for the bolts and two candy eyes for the face.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
