Ingredients
Directions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the almond milk (or water), honey, pumpkin, and egg until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, stir together the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing by hand until a pliable dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a bit more flour; if too dry, add a splash more milk.
- Roll the dough out to ½-inch thickness on a lightly floured surface. Use a bone-shaped cutter (or any shape you like) to cut out treats.
- Continue rerolling scraps and cutting until all dough is used. A 1½-inch bone cutter yields about 80 treats.
- Place the cutouts on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake in a preheated 325°F oven for 20 minutes.
- Remove the sheet from the oven, flip each treat over, and return to the oven for another 15 minutes.
- Transfer the treats to a wire rack to cool completely.
- If icing, melt yogurt chips in a double boiler until smooth. Dip the treats or use a squirt bottle to create a mummy wrap design.
- Surprise your pup with these spooky homemade treats!
