These Mummy Brownies are a fun Halloween treat made from a boxed brownie mix, cut into circles, and decorated with melted white chocolate to look like bandages. Semi-sweet morsels become the eyes, and a rich chocolate fondue with white chocolate swirls makes a perfect dipping sauce.
Ingredients
Directions
- Prepare the brownie batter according to the instructions on the Nestlé Toll House Chocolate Baking Mix package. Set aside about 30 semi-sweet morsels from the mix for later use.
- Pour the brownie batter into a greased 13x9-inch baking pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely. Use a 2-inch round pastry cutter to cut out 15 circles, then place them on a cutting board lined with parchment paper.
- In a double boiler, melt the white morsels until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool for about 10 minutes.
- Transfer the melted white chocolate to a piping bag fitted with a flat-edge frosting tip.
- Pipe the white chocolate onto the brownie circles in a mummy-like wrapping pattern. Press two reserved semi-sweet morsels onto each brownie to create eyes.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the semi-sweet morsels and heavy whipping cream. Stir constantly until smooth. Pour into a microwave-safe bowl for easy reheating if the mixture hardens. Separately, melt the white morsels in a double boiler. Swirl or pipe the melted white chocolate over the semi-sweet chocolate mixture. Use as a dip for your favorite fruit or snacks.
