Create edible witch cauldrons using black candy melts and a measuring cup mold. Fill them with a no-bake pumpkin cheesecake mixture, then decorate with whipped cream and sprinkles for a festive Halloween dessert.
Ingredients
Directions
- Melt the black candy melts following the instructions on the package.
- Spoon some of the melted candy into a 1-cup measuring cup. (You can use any cup, but a measuring cup gives a nice cauldron shape.)
- Coat the entire inside of the cup with the melted candy, then turn it upside down and tap out the excess back into the bowl.
- Place the measuring cup right side up in the freezer for 20–30 minutes, until the candy is solid.
- Carefully remove the candy cauldron from the measuring cup.
- To create a rusty look, mix orange and yellow food coloring (or combine red and yellow for orange, and keep some yellow separate).
- Optionally, mix the food coloring with a little white pearl dust to keep it from being too wet.
- Use a paper towel to dab the colored pearl dust mixture onto the sides of the cauldron.
- In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth.
- Add the pumpkin pie filling mix and vanilla extract, and mix well.
- Gradually mix in the powdered sugar until the filling is smooth.
- Refrigerate the filling for 1–2 hours or longer to firm up.
- Spoon the chilled filling into the cauldrons, top with whipped cream and sprinkles, and serve.
