Create edible witch cauldrons using black candy melts and a measuring cup mold. Fill them with a no-bake pumpkin cheesecake mixture, then decorate with whipped cream and sprinkles for a festive Halloween dessert.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Melt the black candy melts following the instructions on the package.
  2. Spoon some of the melted candy into a 1-cup measuring cup. (You can use any cup, but a measuring cup gives a nice cauldron shape.)
  3. Coat the entire inside of the cup with the melted candy, then turn it upside down and tap out the excess back into the bowl.
  4. Place the measuring cup right side up in the freezer for 20–30 minutes, until the candy is solid.
  5. Carefully remove the candy cauldron from the measuring cup.
  6. To create a rusty look, mix orange and yellow food coloring (or combine red and yellow for orange, and keep some yellow separate).
  7. Optionally, mix the food coloring with a little white pearl dust to keep it from being too wet.
  8. Use a paper towel to dab the colored pearl dust mixture onto the sides of the cauldron.
  9. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth.
  10. Add the pumpkin pie filling mix and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  11. Gradually mix in the powdered sugar until the filling is smooth.
  12. Refrigerate the filling for 1–2 hours or longer to firm up.
  13. Spoon the chilled filling into the cauldrons, top with whipped cream and sprinkles, and serve.
