Paper Plate Halloween Characters
Turn simple paper plates into spooky bats with just paint, paper, and googly eyes!

This easy Halloween craft uses a small paper plate painted black as the body. Add accordion-folded legs and wings cut from construction paper, then glue on googly eyes for a cute bat character.

- Using a foam brush, coat a small round dessert-sized paper plate with black acrylic paint. Set it aside until it's completely dry.
- From black construction paper, cut out two bat wings and two long strips that will become the legs.
- Fold each strip of paper back and forth like an accordion, then glue both strips and the wings onto the back of the painted plate.
- Attach two googly eyes to the front of the plate to bring your Halloween character to life.
