Ingredients
Directions
- In a medium bowl, combine the all purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, and salt. Stir with a whisk until evenly distributed.
- In a large mixing bowl, use a mixer or spoon to blend together the sugar, canned pumpkin, melted butter, vanilla extract, and egg until smooth.
- Pour the dry ingredient mixture into the wet mixture and beat until just combined, making sure no flour streaks remain.
- Gently stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips with a spatula or wooden spoon until evenly dispersed throughout the dough.
- Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. If desired, press a few extra chocolate chips onto the tops of each cookie.
- Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 12 to 15 minutes, until the edges are set and lightly golden.
- Allow the cookies to rest on the baking sheet for a minute, then transfer to a wire cooling rack to cool completely.
