Ingredients

Directions

  1. Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly coat a 10-inch cast iron skillet with cooking spray or butter.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and packed brown sugar together until the mixture is creamy and uniform.
  3. Add the eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt.
  5. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Stir in the pumpkin puree until the dough is smooth.
  6. Gently fold the chocolate chips into the dough.
  7. Transfer the dough to the prepared skillet and spread it out evenly.
  8. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown and the center is set.
  9. Allow the cookie to cool in the skillet for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
