These pumpkin patch cookies start with Golden Oreos dipped in orange-tinted white candy melts. Each one is topped with a candy pumpkin and crushed Oreo 'dirt' for a cute seasonal look. They're perfect for Halloween parties or classroom treats.
Ingredients
Directions
- Start by getting your workspace ready: line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Put the candy pumpkins in a small bowl so they're easy to grab.
- Take the 2 regular Oreos and crush them into fine crumbs. You can use a food processor, or place them in a Ziploc bag and smash with a rolling pin or meat tenderizer. Set these crumbs aside.
- Place the white candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds at 50% power, then stir. Continue microwaving in 15-second bursts, stirring after each, until the candy is fully melted and smooth.
- Once melted, add a few drops of orange food coloring and stir until you get the shade you like.
- Drop a Golden Oreo into the melted candy, using a fork to flip it and coat it completely. Lift it out, let excess drip off, then place it on the parchment. While the coating is still wet, gently press a candy pumpkin into the center of the cookie and sprinkle some Oreo crumbs around the top. Do this for all 18 cookies.
- Let the cookies sit until the candy coating is completely hard, about half an hour.
- Serve and enjoy!
