These pumpkin patch cookies start with Golden Oreos dipped in orange-tinted white candy melts. Each one is topped with a candy pumpkin and crushed Oreo 'dirt' for a cute seasonal look. They're perfect for Halloween parties or classroom treats.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Start by getting your workspace ready: line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Put the candy pumpkins in a small bowl so they're easy to grab.
  2. Take the 2 regular Oreos and crush them into fine crumbs. You can use a food processor, or place them in a Ziploc bag and smash with a rolling pin or meat tenderizer. Set these crumbs aside.
  3. Place the white candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds at 50% power, then stir. Continue microwaving in 15-second bursts, stirring after each, until the candy is fully melted and smooth.
  4. Once melted, add a few drops of orange food coloring and stir until you get the shade you like.
  5. Drop a Golden Oreo into the melted candy, using a fork to flip it and coat it completely. Lift it out, let excess drip off, then place it on the parchment. While the coating is still wet, gently press a candy pumpkin into the center of the cookie and sprinkle some Oreo crumbs around the top. Do this for all 18 cookies.
  6. Let the cookies sit until the candy coating is completely hard, about half an hour.
  7. Serve and enjoy!
