Sugar Cookie Bars

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
3. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla and beat until combined. 
4. In another bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder.
5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix to combine.
6. Press into a greased 11x17 cookie sheet with high sides (jelly roll pan).
7. Bake 20-25 minutes until top is just barely beginning to get golden brown and center feels cooked through.
8. Beat all the ingredients together until they come to frosting consistency. Cool cookie bar completely before frosting.
