These Rice Krispie Treat Pumpkins are a fun and festive Halloween snack. Made with butter, marshmallows, and Rice Krispies, they're tinted orange with food coloring and topped with a Mini Rolo stem and green M&M leaf. Easy to make and perfect for parties.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Melt the butter in a large pot over low heat.
  2. Add the bag of marshmallows (about 40) and stir until fully melted and smooth with the butter.
  3. Take the pot off the heat. Add a few drops of yellow food coloring and mix, then add red food coloring one drop at a time, stirring after each, until you get the orange shade you want (roughly 4 drops red and 12 drops yellow). Mix thoroughly.
  4. Stir in the 6 cups of Rice Krispies until well coated.
  5. Generously coat your hands with cooking oil or melted butter (keep a small bowl handy). Roll the mixture into small balls and place them on parchment paper. Reapply oil or butter to your hands after each ball.
  6. While the balls are still warm, gently press a Mini Rolo into the top of each for the stem, and place a green M&M next to it as the leaf. If the balls cool too much, use the end of a thick marker or an apple corer to make a small indent for the chocolate.
  7. Let the pumpkins cool until firm.
