Create a spooky spider web decoration using just popsicle sticks, paint, yarn, and tiny spiders.
Our own summary of the original by Heather — the full post and photos live at madeinapinch.com.
This simple Halloween craft uses three popsicle sticks painted black to form a web base. White yarn is wrapped around the sticks in a spiral pattern, and craft spiders are glued on for a creepy effect. It's a fun project for kids and adults alike.
Ingredients
Directions
- Arrange the three popsicle sticks into a web-like shape and secure them together at the center with hot glue.
- Apply black paint to the stick structure and allow it to dry fully; you might need two or more coats for even coverage.
- Turn the painted web over and attach the end of the white yarn to the center using hot glue.
- From the center, begin wrapping the yarn around the sticks, gradually moving outward toward the tips.
- Loop the yarn once around a stick, then shift to the next stick and repeat, working your way around the entire web.
- Once you reach the outer edge, glue the yarn end to the back and snip off any leftover string.
- As a finishing touch, hot glue a few plastic or felt spiders onto the web.
