This Halloween soup combines roasted plum tomatoes and pumpkin puree for a savory, creamy base. After roasting and blending, the soup simmers with broth, then is garnished with a sour cream spider web and olive spider for a spooky touch.

- Set your oven to 425°F to preheat.
- On a baking sheet with edges, toss together the plum tomatoes, sliced onion, olive oil, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Roast the mixture for 1 hour, stirring every so often. After roasting, allow it to cool for about 15 minutes.
- Working in batches, blend the roasted tomato mixture until smooth, then pour into a large pot.
- Stir in the pumpkin puree and broth. Let the soup simmer for 15 minutes before serving.
- For the garnish, pipe sour cream onto the soup in a web pattern and place a small piece of black olive on it to resemble a spider.
