Me before and after FX makeup. I prefer to hand blend, meaning I don't use an airbrush or anything fancy; this is standard faire makeup, \(I do use a specific brand of powdered pigments\) makeup, with the same kind of brushes and tools you probably have in your makeup bag.

This Halloween nail art creates a bloody drip effect using a base color, red polish, and a pointed tool. Plan ahead by doing the drip step a day or two before, then seal with a top coat for a spooky finish.

Directions

  1. Apply a base coat of your chosen color.
  2. Apply a thick drop of red nail polish near the cuticle, letting it form a small pool.
  3. Using a pointed tool like a toothpick or safety pin, drag the red polish from the cuticle area toward the tip, pausing momentarily to allow the polish to gather.
  4. Perform this step one or two days in advance, then finish by sealing with a clear top coat.
