Create a mesmerizing two-sided spinner using paper, cardboard, and string. Decorate the circles with bold patterns, and watch the colors mix as it spins. This simple project introduces kids to color theory and motion.

- Print two circles from the provided templates, or if you prefer, take a small paper plate (about 10 to 12 cm across) and trace two circles onto paper.
- Decorate your circles however you like. Concentric rings of color will blend together when the spinner moves—don't be shy, try out creative patterns.
- Carefully cut out both paper circles.
- Glue the first paper circle onto a piece of cardboard (cereal box cardboard works great).
- Trim the cardboard to match the circle shape exactly.
- Attach the second paper circle to the opposite side of the cardboard, covering the back.
- Punch two tiny holes about 1 centimeter apart (or 8 mm) on opposite sides of the center; the templates show where to place them.
- Cut a piece of string roughly 40 cm long, thread both ends through the holes from opposite sides, and tie the ends together to form a loop.
