These vampire cookies start with baked chocolate chip cookie halves, frosted with red-tinted vanilla icing. Mini marshmallows form the teeth, and slivered almonds become fangs for a fun Halloween snack.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Heat the oven to 350°F. Cover two large baking sheets with parchment. Shape the cookie dough into 1.5-inch balls and arrange them on the sheets. Bake until they turn golden, roughly 12 minutes. Allow them to cool fully, then slice each cookie in half.
  2. Mix a few drops of red food coloring into the vanilla frosting until the color is even. Apply a thin coat of this red frosting onto the cut side of each cookie half.
  3. On half of the cookie halves, place mini marshmallows around the curved edge. Top each with another cookie half (frosting side down). Insert a slivered almond into each side of the sandwich to resemble fangs.
