Vampire Cookies
Turn ordinary cookies into spooky vampire treats with just a few simple ingredients and no baking from scratch.
Our own summary of the original by Lauren Miyashiro — the full post and photos live at delish.com.
These Vampire Cookies start with store-bought chocolate chip cookie dough baked and halved. After tinting vanilla frosting red with food coloring, spread it on the cookies. Mini marshmallows and slivered almonds add eyes and fangs for a cute Halloween snack.

Directions
- Set your oven to 350°F. Prepare two large baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper. Form the cookie dough into balls that are 1½ inches across and arrange them on the sheets. Bake them for about 12 minutes, until they turn golden. Allow the cookies to cool completely, then slice each one in half.
- Put a few drops of red food coloring into the vanilla frosting and mix thoroughly until the color is even. Apply a thin coating of the red frosting to every cookie half.
- Position mini marshmallows around the curved edge on one half of the cookie halves. Place the other halves on top to create a sandwich. Stick a slivered almond into each side to form fangs.
