From the original

Rob Zombie is reteaming with Dimension Films for another 'Halloween' chapter, writing and directing 'H2' as the sequel to his 2007 reimagining of the John Carpenter horror classic. Production was set to begin in March ahead of an October release, and Zombie said the new film picks up right where the first remake ended, tracking the aftermath of Michael Myers' killing spree through the perspective of the sister he pursued. He noted it would not mirror the original second installment and that he continues moving the franchise in fresh directions. Zombie, who previously directed 'House of 1000 Corpses,' initially told Dimension chief and TWC co-chairman Bob Weinstein he wanted no part of a sequel, but after taking a break and making a record he felt excited again. Malek Akkad of Trancas Intl. Films was set to produce alongside Spectacle Entertainment's Andy Gould. Zombie also joked about the pressure of the October window, saying a 'Halloween' film released Nov. 1 or later would lose audience interest.
