Tips
- Avoid using fog and dry ice machines directly on grass, as the thick carbon dioxide fog can lead to root rot or fungal growth, and prolonged exposure to cold temperatures may cause grass to brown or die. If you must use them, lay a protective tarp on your grass and limit usage time.
- Do not keep inflatables on your lawn for too long, as they can kill grass or leave dark brown spots. The stakes or weights used to anchor them can also damage the soil. Place inflatables on a mulch bed, driveway, or patio, or only put them out on Halloween night.
- Avoid placing heavy decorations like statues on the grass for long periods, as their weight can compact soil, crush grass blades, and cause them to die. Place statues on driveways or walkways instead.
- Be cautious with fake cobwebs in trees and bushes, as they can harm wildlife by causing birds and small animals to get stuck or injured. Use fake cobwebs as indoor décor instead.
