This Halloween bark starts with a base of popcorn and nuts coated in a dark chocolate and black candy mixture. After freezing, a layer of red candy melts is drizzled on top and sprinkled with more popcorn. Store in the fridge for a crunchy, eerie snack.
Ingredients
Directions
- First, cover a cookie sheet with parchment or waxed paper. Spread a single layer of popcorn across the bottom, then scatter some nuts over the top.
- Combine the dark chocolate chips and black candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat at 50% power for 60 seconds, stir, then continue microwaving in 30-second bursts, stirring each time, until fully melted. If you want a deeper black, stir in 5 to 10 drops of black icing color.
- Drizzle the melted chocolate mixture evenly over the popcorn layer.
- Place the pan in the freezer and let it set until completely firm.
- While the bark is chilling, melt the red candy melts using the same method as before.
- Pour the melted red candy over the hardened bark, then top with a sprinkle of fresh popcorn. Return the pan to the freezer to set quickly, then keep the finished bark stored in the refrigerator.
