Ingredients
Equipment
- Large bowl
- Electric mixer
- Baking sheets
- Parchment paper
- Microwave-safe bowl
- Wire racks
Directions
- Set your oven to 350°F. Lay parchment paper or silicone mats on two big baking sheets.
- In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, vegetable oil, eggs, and water. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes until well blended.
- Drop cookie dough by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden. Let them cool fully on wire racks.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips and shortening together. Stir every 30 seconds until smooth.
- Dip the bottom half of each cookie into the melted white chocolate. Set them on parchment paper to harden.
- After the chocolate has set, use the orange and green frosting tubes to pipe candy corn shapes onto the white chocolate portion.
- For ghost cookies, pipe the white frosting onto the remaining cookies to form ghost shapes.
- Use black food coloring gel to add eyes and mouths to the ghost cookies.
- Arrange all decorated cookies on a platter and finish by scattering candy corn and sprinkles around them.
