You'll need
Directions
- Gather a collection of eerie treasures, such as vintage Halloween pieces and childhood books, to decorate your mantel for Halloween.
- Arrange everything in layers, moving items around until you're satisfied with the overall look.
- Set the vintage Halloween postcard featuring the little witch onto the mantel.
- Place the pair of chain candlesticks and the mantel clock on the surface.
- Add Halloween door hangers purchased from Etsy or similar shops.
- Incorporate other antiques, like a second children's Halloween book.
- Make a vintage Ouija board the focal point of the mantel by leaning it in the hinge of an old book to prevent it from slipping.
- Put the large black cat door hanger (its height is roughly 22 inches) onto the mantel.
- Include upcycled serger cone projects (such as candy corn) as well as other strange items.
- Position the old pharmacy bottle on the far right side of the mantel.
- Set the bathtub planter holding three black kittens among the decor.
- Add the third children's book and the tall black cat statue; equip the statue with glass eyes.
- Place a tall, skinny brass candlestick behind the mantel clock to add height, and use it as a stand for the jack-o-lantern door hanger.
- Slip the upper right corner of the vintage Halloween postcard behind the clock face's hinge to secure it.
- Insert a green children's book behind the mantel clock to keep it upright and closed, and use it to support a smaller door hanger.
- Conceal another book behind 'Two Too Many' to prop up another vintage Halloween postcard.
- Lean one leg of the candlestick against the wall so it remains stable.
- Set the metal cast finger oddity (which has 'Andersen' embossed on it) as a final quirky touch.
