This DIY project turns a white pumpkin into a colorful confetti masterpiece using just a few simple supplies. By applying Mod Podge to the top third of the pumpkin and scattering neon paper pieces over it, you create a vibrant, textured design. After sealing the paper with another layer of glue and allowing it to dry, you'll have a unique, eye-catching Halloween decoration ready to display.

You'll need

Directions

  1. Use a hole punch to create small shapes from your chosen paper. For this project, I opted for vibrant neon sheets purchased from a local copy shop, utilizing just a narrow 1/8-inch strip to keep the design focused.
  2. Apply a single coat of Mod Podge to the upper third section of the white pumpkin using a paintbrush.
  3. Scatter the paper pieces over the wet adhesive. Gently press them down if needed, then allow the glue to set for 15 to 20 minutes.
  4. Once the first layer is dry, brush another coat of Mod Podge over the paper pieces to secure them in place. Allow the pumpkin to dry completely for 30 to 45 minutes.
