Directions
- Prepare the fabric by cutting it into squares. For a ghost made with a 6-inch foam ball, a 30x30 inch square works well. The fabric should drape down well past the foam ball to create the ghostly body.
- Cut two small oval shapes from black construction paper to serve as the ghost's eyes.
- Insert a dowel or garden stake into the foam ball, pushing it in at least 3 to 4 inches. In windy or rainy conditions, opt for garden stakes instead of dowels for extra stability.
- Spray the top of the foam ball with spray adhesive. Drape the fabric square over the ball, pressing it onto the adhesive at the top so it sticks.
- Attach the eyes. For a translucent look, glue the paper eyes directly to the foam ball under the fabric using spray adhesive. For solid eyes, affix them on top of the fabric.
- Plant the ghost in your yard by pushing the dowel or garden stake at least 6 inches into the ground to keep it firmly upright.
