Directions
- Set the pumpkin upside down in a container to keep the stem safe. Using a permanent marker, draw six roughly equal sections, following the pumpkin's natural ridges from bottom to top. Then wrap a strip of painter's tape around the middle of the pumpkin horizontally.
- Create the first row of swirls upside down, filling the area between the vertical lines and the horizontal tape.
- Add small curls on the sides of the middle and top rows of swirls.
- Place three dots vertically between each bottom swirl, and one dot between the top row of swirls just above each top swirl. Use your fingertips to press down any sharp caulk points.
- Cover the stem completely with newsprint and painter's tape.
- Spray the entire pumpkin with flat white paint in a well-ventilated area. Let it dry fully before removing the masking tape.
