Directions
- Start by making three witch heads: stuff each plastic grocery bag with crumpled old sheets or newspapers. Optionally add witch hats for extra authenticity, even though they aren't common in the movie.
- Hammer three fence posts into the ground at your desired locations for the witches.
- Turn each filled bag upside down and place it on top of a fence post, then secure the bag's bottom to the post with tape to form a head.
- Cover the bag with a black fabric piece and tie yarn around it to define a neck. Next, drape a green fabric or tablecloth over the head as a cape and secure it with a green ribbon around the neck. Repeat for the purple and red witches.
- To make the witches appear to hold hands, attach the cloaks together using clothespins.
- Add spooky props around the scene: place whimsical brooms made from sticks and twine. Hang a cauldron from a tripod made of branches, decorated with a small skull. For extra atmosphere, put orange lights and firewood under the cauldron, and create bubbling fog with dry ice or a fog machine. Set a Hocus Pocus spell book next to the cauldron.
