Directions
- Affix the Mickey stencil onto the large pumpkin in your preferred spot using tape.
- With an awl or the poker from your carving set, pierce small dots along the facial outlines. These dots serve as your carving guide. Then peel off the paper stencil.
- Follow the dotted pattern with your carving knife to cut out the eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Slice a circle around the pumpkin's stem with your knife. This creates a removable cap for inserting the tea light.
- Using hot glue, attach the small foam pumpkins to the left and right of the large pumpkin to form Mickey's ears.
- From green felt, snip one leaf shape.
- Wrap a green pipe cleaner around your finger to create a coil, then snip it to your preferred length.
- Glue the felt leaf to the pumpkin's top, then glue the curled pipe cleaner atop the leaf.
- Place the faux tea light inside the pumpkin. You can insert it through the carved nose opening, or alternatively, before attaching the leaf, you can cut around the stem as you would with a standard pumpkin and use that hole. Enjoy your Mickey Mouse creation!
