This project transforms a plain pumpkin into a winking character using paint and black contact paper. Print the free eye template, cut out the shapes, and stick them on for a spooky but cute look. Perfect for both real and craft pumpkins.

You'll need

pumpkin, real or craft

white and black craft paint, optional

paint brushes, also optional

black contact paper

scissors

craft knife

Directions

Start by painting your pumpkin if you like—either white or black, or leave it plain. It's entirely your call.

While the paint dries, print the eye template. For easier cutting, print on cardstock if you have it. Use a craft knife to carefully cut out the white part of the eyeball.

Trace each cut-out piece onto the back side of black contact paper, then cut out those shapes as well.

Peel and stick the contact paper pieces onto your pumpkin. Step back to admire your work, and repeat on other pumpkins if you want.
