This tutorial shows how to create adorable place card holders from pumpkin floral picks. After removing the pick's base wire and bending it into a '6' shape, you attach it to the pumpkin with hot glue. The result is a festive table accent perfect for Halloween or Thanksgiving.

Directions

First, get your hot glue gun warming up. With lineman pliers, trim the pick away from the bottom of the pumpkin, making the cut right at the base so the pumpkin can rest flat.

Next, carefully bend the untouched end of the wire into a shape that looks like the number 6. Go slowly to avoid tearing the paper covering the wire.

To finish, apply hot glue onto the back of the pumpkin's stem. Insert the bent pick and hold it in place for 1 to 2 minutes until the glue sets firmly.
