Make festive jack-o-lantern quesadillas by stacking two flour tortillas, cutting a stem and a face from one, then filling with cheese and baking until golden. Serve with sour cream and salsa for a tasty Halloween treat.
Ingredients
Directions
- Set your oven to 400°F and let it preheat.
- Place two flour tortillas on top of one another. With a kitchen knife, carve a pumpkin-shaped stem from the stacked tortillas.
- Separate the tortillas. On one of them, cut out a jack-o-lantern face from the center. To plan your design, lightly scratch the shapes with a toothpick before cutting.
- Put the uncut tortilla on a baking sheet. Cover it generously with shredded marble cheese or cheddar.
- Place the tortilla with the face cutout on top of the cheese, aligning the stems so they match up.
- Bake in the preheated oven at 400°F for about 10 minutes, until the cheese is fully melted and the edges turn lightly golden.
- Serve the quesadilla warm with sour cream and salsa on the side.
