By combining everyday materials like plastic sheets, cotton cloths, and clear suspension cords with battery-powered lights, you can achieve a spooky yet elegant ambiance for your holiday celebrations.
You'll need
Directions
- Measure and snip a length of clear monofilament to serve as the suspension cord for the apparition.
- Securely fasten one end of that cord to the top of the styrofoam skull.
- Drape the sheer fabric over the skull, threading the suspension cord through the material to create the flowing shape.
- Insert the battery-powered LED bulb into the hollowed-out pumpkin container.
- Stretch the round plastic sheet across the top of the pumpkin container to form a base.
- Trim the plastic sheet and thread the suspension cord through the center so the ghost can be suspended from it.
- Drape the cotton cloth over the plastic skeleton figure.
- Snip a small opening in the fabric and guide the skeleton's built-in hanging strap through it.
- Set the flameless candle inside the glass plant container.
- Drape another cotton cloth over the suspended glass container.
- Make a small cut in the middle of the fabric and pull the glass container's metal handle through the opening.
- Attach additional lengths of clear monofilament to suspend the glass container.
