Halloween Games For Teens
Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at delilahspartyideas.com.
Directions
- Treasure Hunt: Make clues and hiding places a little harder for teens and tweens. Have some 'treasure' waiting for the first person or team to complete the hunt. You can think up your own clues or use premade tricky clues.
- Decorate Cookies: Use scary cookie cutters (like Day of the Dead or skull shapes) to make spooky cookies. This activity is a hit with older kids and teens.
- Hanging Donuts: Hang a row of donuts. Without using their hands, everyone must race to finish eating their donut first.
- Guess the Candy: Fill a jar with Halloween candy. As guests arrive, have them guess how many candies are in the jar on cards. The closest guess wins the candy.
- Catch the Candy: Split guests into teams. Give each team a plastic trick-or-treat pumpkin and a bag of candy corn. One person holds the pumpkin while the rest throw candy into it from a distance. The person holding the pumpkin can move to catch it. Set a timer (e.g., 1 minute). The team with the most candy in their pumpkin wins.
- Dead Mans Body: Sit everyone in a circle and dim the lights. Tell a spooky story about a man whose body was chopped into pieces. Pass containers around with props representing body parts (e.g., peeled grapes for eyeballs, tinned tomato for brains, cooked spaghetti for intestines). Guests guess what is inside each container while writing down their answers. Have wipes handy for messy items.
- Trick or Treat Fear Factor: Use a dice and two types of food: 'treat' (safe) and 'trick' (gross). If a player rolls a 1 or 6, they eat a treat. If they roll 2, 3, 4, or 5, they eat a trick food. Ideas for trick foods include Dog Food-Spam, Chicken Heart-Oysters, Vomit-Baby Food, and Rotten Flesh-Blue Cheese.
- Find the Gum: Put a piece of bubble gum on a plate and cover with whipped cream. Make one for each person. Without using their hands, they must race to be the first to find their bubble gum, chew it, and blow a bubble.
- Wrap the Mummy: Split into teams. Using toilet paper or white bandages, each team must wrap one member, leaving only their eyes showing. That person must then run to the other side of the room. The first one there is the winner.
