This DIY Halloween game turns empty water bottles into adorable ghost pins using cotton balls and adhesive foam eyes. Kids can enjoy a guessing game while filling the bottles, then race to knock them down with a pumpkin ball for a festive and engaging party activity.

You'll need

Directions

  1. Collect the supplies: several empty water bottles, adhesive-backed black foam sheets, scissors, multiple packs of cotton balls, and a pumpkin-shaped ball.
  2. Begin stuffing the cotton balls into each bottle until they are full.
  3. Add an extra layer of fun by turning the filling process into a guessing game. Ask your child to predict the number of cotton balls needed to fill one bottle, then count them together to compare the guess with the actual amount.
  4. As the children work on filling the bottles, cut out eye shapes from the black foam. The adhesive backing makes this step quick and easy since there is no drying time required.
  5. Once every bottle is packed, remove the protective layer from the foam eyes and press them onto the bottles to create spooky faces.
  6. Set up your lanes and start knocking down the ghost bottles with the pumpkin ball!
