Graveyard Cupcakes for Halloween

Directions

1. Bake the cupcakes according to the mix directions, then let them cool completely.
2. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter until smooth, then mix in the vanilla extract.
3. Gradually add the powdered sugar and cocoa powder, alternating with milk to achieve a spreadable consistency.
4. Fill a piping bag fitted with a 1M star tip with the frosting.
5. Pipe a layer of frosting onto each cooled cupcake.
6. Separate the Oreos, remove the cream filling, and place the cookie halves in a gallon-sized storage bag.
7. Crush the cookies into fine crumbs, then sprinkle them over the frosted cupcakes.
8. Use black writing icing to write 'RIP' or other epitaphs on the 12 Milano cookies.
9. Press the decorated Milano cookies into the cupcakes to resemble tombstones.
10. Add mini gummy worms and ghost peeps to the cupcakes, using toothpicks to support the peeps if needed.
