Sliced jalapeños are stuffed with a creamy blend of cream cheese, pepper jack, and bacon, then wrapped in crescent dough strips to look like mummies. After baking, candy eyes are added for a spooky face. Enjoy them at your Halloween gathering!
Ingredients
Directions
- Set your oven to 400°F. In a small bowl, stir together the soft cream cheese, shredded pepper jack, and crumbled bacon until well blended.
- Cut each jalapeño in half from top to bottom, then remove the seeds and membranes.
- Fill each jalapeño half with the cream cheese mixture, using a spoon.
- Take two crescent roll triangles and press them together to create a rectangle. Use a knife or pizza wheel to cut the rectangle into 10 narrow strips.
- Wrap two or three strips around each stuffed jalapeño, leaving a gap where the candy eyes will go.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 12 to 14 minutes.
- Take the mummies out of the oven and allow them to cool for 10 minutes. Then press candy eyes onto the exposed area of each jalapeño.
