Mini Babybel cheeses wrapped in puff pastry with pepperoni become festive Halloween treats with simple decorations. Use the pastry scraps to craft pumpkin faces or mummy wraps, then add edible eyes for a fun finishing touch. Bake until golden and serve warm for a crowd-pleasing snack.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Set your oven to heat up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, beat the egg and water together with a whisk.
  3. Using a round cookie cutter that measures 3 inches, punch out circles from the puff pastry sheets. Set aside any leftover dough for later use.
  4. On one puff pastry circle, lay down a single pepperoni slice and one Mini Babybel cheese.
  5. With a pastry brush, coat the rim of the pastry circle with the egg mixture, then top it with another puff pastry round.
  6. To create pumpkin designs, cut out tiny triangles and a mouth from the pastry scraps; for mummies, cut long thin strips. Place these decorations on top of the pastry.
  7. Give the entire top of each pastry a coat of egg wash using the brush, then arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Continue assembling the remaining pastries until you have six stuffed treats.
  9. Bake them in the oven for 20 minutes.
  10. Once they're out of the oven, if you made mummy versions, attach the edible eyes now.
  11. Serve and enjoy your spooky snacks!
