Create delicious Halloween cakesicles by coating a popsicle mold with melted candy, adding a caramel center and cake pop dough, then freezing. Once set, decorate with sprinkles and other toppings for a festive finish.
Ingredients
Directions
- In microwave-safe bowls, heat the candy melts at 70% power for 1 minute, stir, then heat for another 30 seconds at 70% power and stir again until smooth.
- Spoon some melted candy into a mini popsicle mold, using a spoon or small spatula to coat the sides. Insert popsicle sticks while the coating is still wet, then freeze the mold for 5 minutes.
- Transfer the Litehouse caramel into a plastic bag and snip off a small corner.
- Take the molds out of the freezer and pipe a little caramel into each cavity. Place a small, pre-shaped piece of cake pop dough on top of the caramel.
- Cover the edges of the cakesicle with candy coating, tap the mold on the counter to release air bubbles, then cover the entire back with coating and scrape off excess. Return to the freezer for another 5 minutes.
- Remove the hardened cakesicles from the mold and repeat the process to make as many as desired.
- Decorate the cakesicles using leftover candy coating: pipe lines for sprinkles or use a toothpick to place smaller decorations. Let them dry completely.
