In this classic party game, one player holds a story with blank spaces for different parts of speech. Without revealing the story, they ask others for words to fill each blank. The finished story is then read aloud, producing unexpected and hilarious combinations.
Directions
- Choose one person to be the storyteller. That person receives a story template with missing words. Each empty spot indicates what kind of word is needed: for instance, an adjective, a noun, a verb, or a category like a number, a food, or a person's name.
- The storyteller keeps the story hidden from everyone else. They then go through each blank one by one, asking the other players to contribute a word that fits the specified category.
- After every blank has been filled, the storyteller reads the entire story out loud. The mismatched words often create silly or absurd phrases, resulting in lots of laughs.
