Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at keikolynn.com.
This Halloween makeup tutorial shows you how to achieve a harlequin doll look using white and black eyeliner, shadow, and liquid liner to create exaggerated eyes and a fake crease. False lashes, bright pink blush and lipstick, plus optional accessories like a flower headband and ruffled collar complete the costume.
Directions
- Apply white eyeliner to your lower waterline and inner rim to give your eyes a large, doll-like appearance.
- Set the liner with a white eyeshadow, and also sweep the shadow over your entire lids up to the brow bone.
- With black eyeliner, sketch a new crease line just beneath your eyebrows.
- Soften that line using black shadow, then fill the area below it with white shadow.
- Using liquid liner, outline your eyes: draw a line below the inner white, along your upper lash line, and just under the fake crease.
- With the same liquid liner, paint on new eyebrow shapes.
- Attach false lashes to both your upper and lower lash lines—be sure the lower ones sit on the black liner, not your natural lashes.
- Apply a bright pink blush concentrated on the apples of your cheeks, and finish with a vivid pink lipstick (such as Urban Decay Matte Revolution in “Menace”).
- Add decorative details with liquid liner—for example, I completed the look with a flower headband and a ruffled collar set. All done!
