About this

A recap of a family Halloween party with gross-out themed snacks for kids, cocktail-style drinks for adults, and the family's yearly zombie photo tradition. The post walks through each creepy food and drink, the party setup, and the husband's stunt of posing motionless outside as a decoration to scare guests. It closes with the 2013 zombie family photo (theme "Family BBQ") and the 2012 one (theme "sightseeing").

The plan

Pick a yearly zombie family photo theme (2013 was "Family BBQ", 2012 was "sightseeing")
Serve separate kid drinks and adult drinks so both crowds are covered
Premake frozen drinks ahead of time so they are ready to serve
Prepare drink toppers for the adult beverages
Have something ready for the kids to hand out to their party guests
Set up a still, silent costumed figure outside during trick-or-treat hours for scares

Food & drink

Live Worms (hotdogs)
Pumpkin Vomit (dip)
Dirty Q-tips (marshmallows and butterscotch)
Chips and dip
Slime Cheesecake (fluffy cheesecake)
Bloody Bandages (graham crackers and icing)
Snake Eggs (grapes)
Bloody cupcakes (Red velvet cupcakes)
Brainnnsss (jello)
Goblin Juice (lemonade with green food color) for the kids
Water for the kids
Blood Juice (Sangria)
Vampire Fuel (Strawberry and Banana jello shots)
Frozen drinks called Dirty Panties
Drink toppers
Beer
