These Halloween Rice Krispie Treats are made with Cocoa Krispies, a layer of Halloween Oreos, and a dark chocolate topping decorated with sprinkles and candy eyes. After pressing the cereal around the cookies and letting the chocolate set, you can cut them into 24 spooky squares. They are easy to assemble and perfect for Halloween parties.
Ingredients
Directions
- Line a 9x13 inch pan with aluminum foil and, if desired, lightly butter the bottom.
- In a large pot over medium-low heat, combine 8 cups miniature marshmallows and 6 tablespoons unsalted butter. Stir until melted and creamy.
- Add 10 cups Cocoa Krispies cereal and stir until everything is evenly coated.
- Using parchment paper, press half of the cereal mixture into an even layer in the prepared pan.
- Place 24 Halloween Oreos on top of the cereal, leaving a small space between each cookie.
- Spoon the remaining cereal mixture over the cookies and press down gently with more parchment paper, ensuring cereal fills the gaps. Let cool completely.
- Melt a 10 ounce bag of dark chocolate melting wafers in the microwave according to package directions. Pour over the cooled treats and spread evenly.
- While the chocolate is still wet, top with sprinkles and candy eyes.
- Allow the chocolate to set, then cut into 24 squares. Store in a tightly sealed container.
