- Rinse the exterior of the pumpkin under running water, then pat it completely dry with a clean towel.
- Secure the Hello Kitty template to the pumpkin's surface using small pieces of masking tape.
- Take your carving instruments and gently scratch along the template's outlines to transfer the pattern onto the rind.
- Follow the scratched lines with your tools, carefully removing the pumpkin flesh to reveal the Hello Kitty shape.
- Peel off the template and smooth any jagged spots with a knife or scraper for a polished look.
- Insert a battery-operated LED light or a traditional candle into the hollowed pumpkin to bring the design to life.
