Get your Halloween party started with these three easy cake pop styles. Using leftover cake and simple candy decorations, you can craft creepy spiders, classic ghosts, and wrapped mummies. Each pop gets a unique candy coating and detailing for a frightfully fun treat.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Take your leftover cake scraps and crumble them into fine crumbs with your hands or a fork.
  2. Mix in a generous amount of buttercream frosting until the crumbs stick together like a dough.
  3. Once the cake balls are well chilled, poke a stick into each and dip them into melted black candy melts, coating evenly.
  4. While the coating is still wet, attach candy eyes and licorice pieces to form spider legs.
  5. Using a small piping bag filled with melted white candy melts, draw a simple web pattern on top of the spider.
  6. Take a toothpick and gently poke into the wet coating, then pull outward to create a spooky, textured surface.
  7. Refrigerate the cake pops until firm before shaping them into ghost forms.
  8. For mummy designs, use the smallest piping tip to pipe thin white candy melt lines crisscrossing the pop, leaving gaps for eyes.
