These mozzarella eyeballs are a fun and easy Halloween appetizer. Mozzarella balls are topped with tomato sauce and olive slices to look like eyeballs. Arrange them on a deviled egg tray for a creepy presentation.

Directions

If your mozzarella balls are packed in water, drain them well. Then remove them from the container and arrange them on your serving tray.

A deviled egg tray works great for holding the cheese balls steady. Fill the entire tray with the mozzarella balls.

Fill a pastry bag or a zip-top bag with tomato sauce. Snip off a tiny corner (be careful—sauce is thin and can gush out). Alternatively, you can use a spoon.

Drizzle a small amount of sauce onto each mozzarella ball, letting it drip down the sides.

Slice the green olives into rounds. Chop the black olives into very small pieces.

Place a tiny piece of black olive in the center of each green olive slice to form the pupil.

Set one olive “eyeball” on top of each sauced mozzarella ball. Repeat until all are decorated.
