These mummy hot dogs are a simple Halloween snack made by wrapping hot dogs and cheese in crescent dough strips. After brushing with butter and baking until golden, you add mustard eyes for a cute monster look. Perfect for parties or a festive meal.
Ingredients
Directions
- Set your oven to 375°F and cover a large baking sheet with parchment. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 4 rectangles, pressing the perforations to seal them. Slice each rectangle lengthwise into narrow strips.
- Take each slice of American cheese and cut it into 4 pieces.
- Put a hot dog on top of one cheese strip, then wrap the crescent dough strips around it like bandages. (Each hot dog requires about 4 dough strips.) Do this for all hot dogs and cheese.
- Arrange them on the baking sheet and coat them with melted butter.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the dough turns golden and is fully cooked.
- Use a toothpick to add small dots of mustard on each hot dog to form eyes.
