Use printable templates to cut felt pieces like cat ears, owl features, or spider legs. Attach them to uncarved pumpkins with toothpicks, adding white paint to eyes for extra dimension. This no-carve craft is perfect for a quick Halloween decoration.

You'll need

Directions

  1. Make or obtain templates for the creature parts you want, such as a cat, owl, pirate hat, bones, or spider legs.
  2. Print the templates with the page set to landscape orientation and scale them up to 121% so they fill the page properly.
  3. Cut the pieces out of felt, keeping track of how many of each shape you need.
  4. For items that will be inserted into the pumpkin like hats or bones, cut only one front-facing piece instead of two pieces with a toothpick in between.
  5. For spider legs, cut three legs, then cut a mirrored set of three legs for the opposite side.
  6. Affix the felt pieces to the raw pumpkins by sticking or securing them in place.
  7. Enhance the eyes with white paint or other material to give them depth.
